  • Lee Connelly is The Skinny Jean Gardener. One of the UK's TOP 50 TV Gardening Presenters, from CBBC Blue Peter, BBC Teach, BBC Radio 1 and Extreme Gardening.

    He is a children's author of 'How to get Kids Gardening' and hosts The Sunday Times Best Gardening Podcast, Skinny Jean Gardener Podcast. Lee is founder of School Gardening Success bringing primary school gardening education to the UK and House of Lords Horticulture Expert on Children & School Gardening.

    In 2023 Lee was awarded the Uk's #1 Children's Gardening Educator. Most importantly he is Daddy to Olive.

  • Over the past 10 years we’ve worked tirelessly to research and gather the best equipment for your class to successfully grow together. Not only that for the first year the team will be on hand to answer any of your questions within 24hrs, so your class is not left waiting for an answer. We are here to make this a success for you as a teacher

  • Absolutely not. As a School Governor himself, our founder Lee Connelly is a Primary School Governor who understands the financial difficulties schools face day to day. Together we have ensured that there’s no hidden costs or extras you have to buy to get growing. Only if you want to join School Gardening Success Plus after the first year you can, but the whole plan is built for you to have all the knowledge for years to come.

  • Click the “START GROWING” Button on the website where it will take you through to the payment page. Here you can choose how to pay, and once payment goes through you will receive a welcome email with access to the members area and not far behind that all of your equipment, and certificate will be delivered.

  • School Gardening Success has a one- off payment of £599. For all of the equipment, lesson plans and teachers support (for the first year). If you would like further teacher support, then we have a School Gardening Success PLUS which is £69/year and includes teacher support continued and seeds for the class. You are still part of School Gardening Success Live events whether you are subscribed to PLUS or not.

  • Just before the six week holidays each year (Next live event is on 19.07.24) we bring all the schools together in an online live event we call “The Pizza Party”. At The Pizza Party we use all of our produce that we have grown in the first half of the year and make our own pizza! We also bring together everyone’s school gardening success’s and talk about growing over the holidays and beyond. School Gardening Success is not just a lesson plan, it is a community of amazing schools!
